As humans we do not naturually take time into account when making assessments. And with good reason, we are not nearly as good at predicting the future as we would like to believe.
But time plays another important role in decsion-making, that of the time taken to make the decision.
There are circumnstances that require quick and decisive decisions (sometimes the decisiveness of the decision is as important as the decision itself) but this is the exception and not the rule.
Allowing the right amount of time for making the decision can radically alter the options we perceive as open to us, and the quality of the decision itself.
