My Personal Communication Terms & Conditions

Published on Apr 4, 2016

Overview

Email is not a time-based mode of communication and I do not treat it as such. I am at my most productive in the mornings between 7 and 11 and the below schedule was built with that in mind. Access to me via phone is appropriate if the needs are more urgent but phone calls are also subject to my terms outlined below.

Email

I routinely check emails twice a day at 12pm and 4pm.

Email response

If no actionable content, it's likely I'll read but not respond. If I can answer without needing to do any further research or work I aim to respond in 24 hours, otherwise I will add it to my todo list and respond when the extra work is completed. If a time constraint exists this should be made clear in the email.

Hourly rate

My default hourly rate is £175. If work is required of me it should be anticipated that I will complete the task and charge for the time taken, rounded up to the nearest hour. Unless otherwise agreed and documented.

Leave

All communication received during leave will not be answered and batch-deleted on return to the office. Please email again after the return date.

Phone

My phone is switched off between 8am and 11am. The ideal time to call is between 3pm and 4.30pm.
